phase six
In collaboration with LASALLE College of The Arts x
Sabanci University (Tang Kafai and Sara Natasha)
PHASE6 is an extraordinary exhibition showcasing the works of
three artists. My contribution to this display comprises a series of
four digital drawings that are overlaid on photographs captured by
my friend, Samridhi Jain. Together, we set out to document the
moments of everyday life during the Covid era by taking photo-
graphs at the train station, hawker centre, on the road, and near
the market in the vicinity of our school.

Our Story
As we navigate our way through the pandemic, wearing masks has become a crucial part of our daily routine, protecting us from the virus. However, it seems to have distanced us from each other, creating a feeling of detachment. As the restrictions ease and we are no longer required to wear masks outdoors, it feels like a breath of fresh air, reminiscent of pre-Covid days. The sight of unmasked faces, smiles, and children laughing brings a sense of warmth and connection that is missing when we are covered by a mask.
